Cafe & Farm Shop Announcement!

Finally there looks to be some light at the end of the Covid tunnel! The vaccination roll-outs and talk of reduced restrictions is music to our ears - maybe we will have some normality soon!

Due to the government announcements, we thought that we better clarify who we actually are, what were all about and what our plans are!! Many of you will know us for making up some nice grazing boards, but the truth is, we've just been dipping our toe in the water! Below you can read more about our plans and hopes for our new venture!

Cafe & Farm Shop

Late last year, we secured the building known as Aberdona Gallery and have permission to refurbish it into a cafe & farm shop! We have been working away in the background and are close to being able to announce some opening dates for the farm shop!

The farm shop will sell fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, bread, highland beef and lots of lovely pantry items. We are aiming to open our doors (physical and online) in March and are really excited to offer these fresh products to our local community.

The cafe will open when the restrictions allow us to! Its been difficult to know when exactly this could be, but we are preparing for mid April to early May. We cannot wait to welcome you all to the cafe and meet you in person! The cafe menu will have our cheeseboards on it but will also have a much fuller menu than what is currently available online.

Home Delivery

Not only will we be continuing our home delivery service, we are upgrading it! We have teamed up with online ordering guru's Hungrrr to create our own Polly's Pantry mobile App and ordering site!! This will make the ordering process much smoother and allow for much more complexity and customisation of products when ordering. We are aiming to launch this in March also! Keep an eye out for the announcement!

We have worked hard to drill down on which zones we will deliver to and also how much delivery costs will be. Some areas will see a reduced or zero delivery fee - we will clarify this closer to the time. We will continue with a zone of roughly 15 miles radius from Aberdona.

Yes, we will be adding making the full farm shop range available for delivery also - fruit & veg boxes, highland beef, artisan breads and much more will all be available to have delivered straight to your door!

Aberdona - Our Home

Aberdona is a small farm between Coalsnaughton and Forestmill in Clackmannanshire. We have wonderful neighbours and we are located in the old Gallery building, which is a beautiful old steadings, teeming with character and history. Most recently, it was used by some resident local artists and also was used as a pottery! Having not been fully operational for more than 10 years, we are working as hard as we can to restore and refurbish the building, ready for your visit.

Aberdona provides wonderful views of the Ochils and also is home to two secluded lochs, which is only a few minutes walk from the Gallery. Already a popular walking spot, its the perfect spot for a walk after filling your belly at the cafe!

Supporting Local

Although we are relatively new to the area, we have already found so many lovely people and other local businesses. We have already teamed up with a few and aim to continue to build relationships with other local business owners like ourselves. Please get in contact if you can recommend any businesses that we could work with to sell their products and support them!

We are truly thankful for every one of our customers - thank you for supporting a local business and please continue to do so!

  • We visited Pollys Pantry yesterday and so glad we did. Polly is lovely and very helpful was great to see a shop supplying good fresh veg and meat. We bought various veg, coffee’s and cake. We then had a small walk to the little lochan which was lovely. We will definitely be back and are looking forward to visiting the cafe when it is open.

Good luck in your new venture .

  • Sweetie I will buy so much stuff from you, but you have to deliver to me, then you can see everyone from our church, then they’ll probably want stuff too, but I miss your smiling face, love & miss you
